K-Pop Bazaar is a small business established in January 2021 with the mission to provide reliable and affordable K-pop goods in Australia to fans. 

We initially started out as an e-commerce online store, but with growing support we expanded to a retail store (Burwood) and warehouse (Peakhurst). 

We are now looking to expand our small and passionate team of K-Pop fans in Sydney.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Warehouse & Retail Assistant to join our growing K-pop business. As a Warehouse & Retail Assistant, you will be responsible for picking & packing online orders at our warehouse, as well as creating an engaging shopping experience for K-pop enthusiasts while maintaining the overall operation of the retail store. 

Your deep understanding of K-pop, albums and merchandise, combined with exceptional attention to detail and customer service skills, will contribute to your success in this role.

Retail Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner. Answer inquiries, offer recommendations, and provide information about K-pop merchandise, artists, albums, and related products.
  • Sales and Promotion: Actively promote and sell K-pop merchandise, including albums, merchandise, posters, photocards, and accessories. Utilise your knowledge and passion for K-pop to up-sell and cross-sell relevant products, maximising sales opportunities.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and organise incoming merchandise, ensuring proper display and storage. Conduct regular inventory counts, restock shelves, and maintain accurate records of stock levels. Collaborate with management to assess inventory needs and place orders to replenish stock.
  • Visual Merchandising: Create visually appealing displays that showcase the latest K-Pop merchandise and trends. Ensure that products are attractively presented, properly priced, and appropriately labelled. Regularly update displays to maintain a fresh and engaging shopping environment.
  • Cash Handling: Operate the cash register, process payments, and provide accurate change to customers. Maintain a balanced cash drawer and follow cash handling procedures in accordance with company policies.
  • Store Maintenance: Keep the store clean, tidy, and well-organised at all times. Monitor and report any maintenance or security issues to the appropriate personnel. Assist with general store upkeep, including cleaning shelves, dusting, and organising storage areas.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up to date with the latest trends, releases, and news within the K-pop industry. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of K-pop artists, albums, music videos, concerts, and fan merchandise to assist customers effectively.

Warehouse Responsibilities:

  • Work proactively as a member of the warehouse team at all times
  • General warehouse duties and ad-hoc housekeeping/organisation of stock as directed.
  • Packing customer orders for the online store
  • Fulfillment of online orders following company procedures.
  • Storage of incoming shipments/new stock
  • Accurate count of new shipment/new stock arrivals.
  • Inspecting of new shipment/stock arrivals to ensure stock is not damaged.
  • Despatch orders
  • Stock-take

Role Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Ability to provide exceptional customer service and engage with our diverse customer base.
  • Previous experience in a retail, hospitality or warehouse/logistics center environment. 
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team and assist colleagues when needed.
  • Availability to work Monday-Sunday between 10am to 7pm
    • Flexible scheduling to accommodate your availability. 
    • Generally a maximum of 8hrs per shift.
    • Working days and hours between our operating times may be subject to change to meet the business's operating requirements.
